For our client, a company in Croatia with headquarters in the Split area, we are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer / Director of Finance to join the leadership team.
As the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic financial management of the organization. You will be a key partner to the Owner and CEO, supporting growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation. This is a hands-on, high-impact position that requires both strategic vision and strong financial expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the full scope of financial operations including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury management
Developing financial strategies, business models, and investment analyses to support expansion, acquisitions, and new projects
Monitoring performance across multiple revenue streams and creating dashboards and KPIs to ensure profitability and cost efficiency
Managing cash flow, working capital, and capital allocation to secure sustainable growth
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, tax, and legal requirements and coordinating internal and external audits
Identifying and mitigating financial risks through strong controls, processes, and governance practices
Building relationships with banks, auditors, and external partners, and preparing financial reports for key stakeholders
Partnering with business unit leaders to improve financial discipline, pricing strategies, and operational decision-making
Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing finance team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Candidate profile:
Proven track record as CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance executive, ideally in hospitality, sales, or multi-unit businesses (5 years experience minimum)
Strong background in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and compliance
Proficiency in cost accounting and financial modelling
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (MBA/CPA preferred)
Fluent in Croatian and English (spoken and written)
EU passport required
Offer:
Permanent, full-time position
On site – Split, Croatia area
Monthly net salary in the range of 3.000 € – 4.000 €
Direct reporting to the Owner / CEO
