For our client, a leading Irish food, and convenience retailer in city Cork, Ireland, we are looking for a Gastro Department Supervisor / Deli Supervisor.
Candidate information/requirements:
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of work experience as a Gastro department/Fresh food Supervisor
Previous experience working in a canteen, fast food, or a restaurant
HACCP, Health and Safety, and Food Safety Protocols knowledge would be a plus
Excellent customer service, good leadership, and organizational skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and customers
An good level of English is required
About the job:
Permanent, full-time position
If moving to Ireland from abroad, you will be provided with two weeks of free accommodation. After that, you will be paying 90 € (+ utilities) per week for a private room in the nearby area
Salary after tax in Ireland for this Gastro Department Supervisor role will be 2.266 € – 2.390 € net per month (31.200 € – 33.280 € gross; before tax, per year) on 40 hours per week
Your salary will be paid weekly on an weekly basis (523 € – 552 € net per week)
Your duties will be to:
Supervise and support the deli team to ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer service
Prepare and cook fresh meals daily, using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients where possible
Manage stock levels, place orders, and minimize waste
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal policies
Assist in menu planning and introduce new meal ideas to keep offerings fresh and exciting
Provide training and motivation to deli staff
Training will be provided
