For our client, a leading Irish food, and convenience retailer in Co. Donegal, Ireland, we are looking for Head Baker.
Candidate information/requirements:
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of work experience working as a baker or bakery assistant, as well as a confectioner/assistant
Previous experience with food preparation and bakery products preparation from scratch (bread, pastry, cookies, sweet goods, etc.)
HACCP, Health and Safety, and Food Safety Protocols knowledge would be a plus
Strong attention to detail, organised and flexible
Able to use own initiative and work as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong level of English is required
About the job:
Permanent, full-time position
If moving to Ireland from abroad, you will be provided with two weeks of free accommodation. After that, you would be paying between 500 € – 650 € (+ utilities) per month for a shared apartment or one bedroom apartment
Salary after tax in Ireland for this Scratch Baker role will be 2.801€ – 3.088 € net per month, depending on experience (40.000€ – 45.000 € gross; before tax, per year) on 40-45 hours per week
Salary is paid weekly (646€ – 712 € net)
Your duties will be: weighing flour and other ingredients to prepare the dough, baking different types of bakery products, shaping dough to prepare different types of pastries, including croissants, cookies, and sweet rolls, tracking food supplies, and placing orders, as needed
